24th October

Well, after many hours of planes and buses and waiting, we finally arrived safely here in Delhi. The first day has been AMAZING! We started off the day in Fab India, buying some India clothes and they are beautiful just beautiful material. So then we went to lunch in the ASHA headquarters with Dr.Kiran Martin who got us motivated and inspired about working in the slums tomorrow. There we also had a chance to meet the Ballymena team, who all seem like a lovely bunch.

One of the most fascinating things for today was probably all the traveling we did about Delhi in the buses. The city is like nothing most of us have ever seen before so it was so interesting to take in all the different aspects of the culture, E.g. cows on the road and constant horn honking!

We finished the evening with a YUMMY meal and everyone seemed to enjoy it which is a good sign. Now we are just trying to get as much sleep as wee can as a lot of us are feeling jetlag!

So to all the parents and family, we are all safe and well and enjoying it. Tomorrow we go to Kalkaji for the first time and also to the British embassy. Can't wait!
