Achievement in MCB Sport 2
Clare Shillington

Since making her international debut against South Africa in August 1997, former pupil Clare Shillington has remained dedicated to her chosen sport, cricket.

In July 2003, she represented Ireland at the International Women's Cricket Council tournament in the Netherlands. Ireland was unbeaten and as a result qualified to compete in the Women's World Cup. 2005 saw Clare captaining the Irish Women's cricket squad in the World Cup, held in South Africa.

 
Chris Quinn

Current MCB pupil Chris Quinn has played for the 1st XV for the past three years and is also a star on the athletics field.

August 2006 saw him travel to Beijing for the IAAF World Junior Athletics Championships, competing in the 400m hurdles. He ran within a fraction of a second of his personal best in the opening round, failing to progress by just three hundredths of a second.

 
Andrew McBride

After leaving MCB, Andrew McBride studied at university in Scotland. During this period he continued to play hockey, moving to Grange when his university days were over.

He was part of the Scottish team who secured Division A status in Barcelona in 2003 and remained part of the Scottish set-up, despite returning to Northern Ireland to play for Annadale. August 2005 saw him named as part of the Scottish squad for the European Nations Championships in Germany.

 
Conor OKane

In tennis, Methody's current rising star is Conor O'Kane. Conor has won the Ulster Tennis Senior Tennis Schools' Cup from 2003-2006.

Other recent achievements include winning the Irish Open Singles and Mixed Doubles 2005, and becoming the Under 18 Irish Open Doubles Champion 2006. He has competed for Ireland at European Championships in France and Italy
