The Alumni and Development Office, based in the Heritage Centre, has a number of responsibilities in the College. The Office exists to promote communication between the College and its globally dispersed alumni and, more importantly, among the alumni themselves. This is done through the website and through organising reunions or helping former pupils who wish to organise events for their year groups. In this task, the Alumni & Development Office uses the Alumni database, which it manages and maintains. The database currently holds details of several thousand globally dispersed former pupils.

The department aims to help build relationships and improve communications with all those who may have an interest in the activities of Methody.

In addition to cultivating relationships with former pupils of the College, the Alumni & Development Office is responsible for planing and implementing major fundraising campaigns. A recent example of this was the campaign to raise funds for the construction of the new boathouse for the College Rowing Club.
